Side dishes! The things you eat with other things. For our western and Indian recipes these are usually starches or cold vegetable/grain salads of some kind. For Japanese cuisine, where "side dish" means something awfully specific and awfully different, we've gone ahead and chucked the <em>okazu</em> in this category for linguistic consistency.
